About the position

As a Senior Programmer at Diversified, you will play a crucial role in developing system code and standards while also being involved in user interface decisions. This position requires a strong ability to remotely support various software deployments, helping to debug and implement systems effectively. You will be expected to discover innovative ways to push the boundaries of device capabilities, collaborating with others to create solutions that enhance user experiences. The role is designed for individuals who are curious, driven, and enjoy the challenge of coding to solve complex problems. You will be developing code for platforms such as Crestron and Q-sys, working within a global programming team that is at the forefront of technology. In this position, you will coordinate and develop programming and UI/UX design in collaboration with key project stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include evolving existing company standards and templates, leading team-level initiatives, deploying, debugging, and troubleshooting code during testing and sign-off phases, and creating responsive UI/UX designs. Additionally, you will provide remote technical assistance for commissioning and end users, read and interpret schematic line drawings and scopes of work, and work alongside an international team of programmers. Mentorship and hands-on development of associate colleagues will also be a significant part of your role. The complexity of this position requires a deep understanding of all technical aspects of systems design and UI/UX for complex systems. You will work collaboratively with design engineering, field engineering, project management, and clients, necessitating a unique blend of programming, graphic design, and customer service skills. Maintaining professionalism under pressure and a high level of attention to detail is essential, as is the ability to communicate system requirements and client needs effectively to all stakeholders. This role offers a high level of autonomy, requiring strong prioritization management skills to maintain key deliverables daily. You will lead project groups while providing support and guidance, mentoring and developing team members, and demonstrating a proven ability to take direction and develop effective solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and develop programming and UI/UX design with key project stakeholders.
  • Develop and evolve existing company standards and templates.
  • Lead team level initiatives.

  • Create responsive UI/UX designs.

Requirements

  • Associates/Bachelor's degree required and/or equivalent experience.
  • AVIXA General CTS certification or other relevant certifications.
  • 5+ years of experience in development work (front end, back end or full stack).
  • Crestron Masters, Q-sys Control 201 and/or Extron EAP experience.
  • Experience with AR development is preferred.
  • AI and machine learning experience is preferred.
  • Networking experience is preferred.
  • Experience with collaborative design tools (e.g., Figma).
  • Skilled in the use of graphics editing programs.
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office products & Visual Studio.
  • Ability to read and interpret line drawings.
  • Knowledge of the AV industry.
  • Working knowledge of DSP programs.
  • Ability to obtain TS/SCI Clearance is a plus.
