About the position

The San Diego County Office of Education is seeking a full-time Audiologist for the North County Consortium for Special Education (NCCSE). This role involves providing educational audiology services to school districts, including conducting hearing evaluations, performing assessments for Central Auditory Processing Disorder (CAPD), and assisting students with hearing impairments. The Audiologist will work with a diverse range of students from birth to age 22, collaborating with staff to enhance auditory skills and instructional methods.

Responsibilities

  • Complete hearing evaluations and related reports.
  • Perform Central Auditory Processing Disorder (CAPD) assessments and provide related accommodations for instruction.
  • Assist students with hearing impairments in amplification and auditory skills.
  • Consult with staff regarding auditory skills, issues, and instructional accommodations and methods.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Audiology or a closely related subject.
  • Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team conducting assessments and interpreting audiological evaluations.
  • Valid California Clinical or Rehabilitative Services Credential with an authorization in Audiology or equivalent document.
  • Valid California Driver's License.

Nice-to-haves
