About the position

As an Audiologist at ProHealth Care, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating hearing and balance disorders, providing high-quality, patient-centered care. This role involves performing comprehensive diagnostic evaluations, interpreting results, fitting hearing aids, and providing rehabilitation therapy to improve patients' quality of life.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide range of diagnostic hearing tests, including pure tone audiometry, tympanometry, speech audiometry, and audiologic site of lesion studies.
  • Interpret diagnostic results to provide accurate diagnoses and expert recommendations for treatment plans.
  • Fit, order, and fine-tune state-of-the-art hearing aids and other auditory devices.
  • Provide comprehensive rehabilitation therapy, including auditory training, aural rehabilitation, and counseling to support patients in adjusting to their hearing aids.
  • Conduct industrial audiology assessments, including hearing conservation programs and consultations for workplace hearing protection.

Requirements

  • Doctorate in Audiology (Au.D.) from an accredited program.
  • A current and valid Wisconsin Audiology License is required.
  • Strong clinical, diagnostic, and patient care skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
  • Experience with a wide range of audiological assessments and hearing aid technologies.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively counsel and support patients and their families.
