Auditor - Internal Audit Associate / I / II

About the position

As a member of the Internal Audit Team, you will be expected to participate effectively on various business unit engagement teams and management requested special project teams. Your role will involve performing audit steps and preparing comprehensive workpaper documentation. You will gain a high level understanding of the business unit being audited and a detailed understanding of processes and procedures being audited. Additionally, you will assist lead auditors in identifying potential risk areas and developing audit procedures to evaluate and test these areas. Interacting in a professional manner with a variety of levels of internal client personnel is essential. You will also prepare written communications, including audit findings and recommendations in a concise and professional manner. Continual development of your audit skill set through formal and informal training is encouraged, and seeking appropriate professional certification is expected. Keeping abreast of issues in various areas including accounting and financial, the midstream energy business, legal and regulatory, information technology, communication, safety, human resources, and other areas associated with company functions is crucial. You will demonstrate commitment to, and compliance with, applicable laws and regulations, the Company's Ethics and Compliance Code, and other Company policies and procedures; and take all required training courses. Taking direction from lead auditors, focusing attention on details, following work rules, and adhering to established work schedules are key responsibilities.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or other business related area required.
• CPA or CIA eligible.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills - both written and verbal.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products required.
• Team player, willing to assist the department and the company to meet their annual goals.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in the midstream energy business.
• Familiarity with legal and regulatory compliance.

• Additional work schedule options available (9/80 and half day Fridays).
