About the position

In this role, you will troubleshoot, modify, upgrade, and participate in the development of new systems or improvements to operations. This includes working with pneumatic, hydraulic, robots, servos, PLCs, Vision Systems, Safety Interlocks, etc. You will collaborate with the Automation Supervisor and team, along with SME leaders and Product Engineering counterparts, to design or improve upon current systems. This involves identifying triggers for change, documenting standards for criteria, and establishing approval processes to reduce long-term complexities that drive costs and improve the bottom line. You will also determine the automation capabilities of the facility, upgrade or deactivate existing automation systems, and troubleshoot systems to identify and resolve issues. Training key counterparts on troubleshooting and managing modifications or installations of equipment and processes will be part of your responsibilities. You will work closely with various functional groups to ensure that process and equipment changes support product standardization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or related field.
  • Proficient in programming languages.
