Automation QA Engineer

About the position

As an Automation QA Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and reviewing automated solutions, delivering high quality tests and code contributions. You will be responsible for creating and executing test plans to support multiple products. You will also contribute to a variety of areas including Test Planning and Analysis, Automation Design and Execution, and Collaboration and Communication.

Responsibilities

• Reviews business requirements and design specifications for moderately complex changes/systems for completeness and testability.
• Analyzes and understands testing procedures and requirements.
• Obtains requirements from stakeholders and end-users to find automation solutions that align with development and QA goals.
• Identifies opportunities to automate the team’s process and operations.
• Designs, develops and executes QA tests with effective automation scripts.
• Ensures that the automation solutions implemented thoroughly cover all necessary aspects of a product and lead to the resolution of any errors found.
• Provides inputs and escalates issues in bug triage meetings and coordinates with development team.
• Tracks, manages and reports on automation progress and goals.
• Stays current with automation industry trends and technologies that will impact the business.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Quality Assurance.
• Proficiency in writing clean, modular, reusable code - preferably Java or JavaScript.
• Experience using testing tools such as Playwright is preferred.
• Experience with Backend and Frontend testing and API test automation.
• Comprehensive understanding of test methodologies and techniques.
• Experience working in agile development environment.
• Have a systematic, disciplined, and analytical approach.
• Ability to understand performance guidelines to achieve results.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities in accordance with organizational needs.
• Ability to provide consistent effort and to work within provided deadlines.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. national security clearance.
• U.S. Citizenship essential to comply with government contract/agency or department of Federal Government requirements.
