About the position

At Walmart, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of retail, improving millions of lives around the world. This position involves completing work assignments by utilizing resources, collaborating with stakeholders, identifying priorities, communicating progress, determining improvement opportunities, and adapting to difficulties and feedback. You will program and troubleshoot automated control systems, provide on-call remote and on-site technical support, manage daily operations of automation systems, and support plant operation quality and continuous improvement programs.

Responsibilities

  • Completes work assignments by utilizing resources, collaborating with stakeholders, identifying priorities, communicating progress, determining improvement opportunities, and adapting to difficulties and feedback.
  • Programs and troubleshoots automated control systems like integration, electronics, robotics, fiber optic sensors, pneumatic-hydraulic controls, touch panels, programmable logic controls, and human machine interface.
  • Utilizes one-line and electrical schematic designs, electrical equipment controls, instrumentations, and configurations.
  • Provides on-call remote and on-site technical support for automation equipment and trains associates on operation and repair.
  • Manages daily operations of automation systems by performing routine maintenance, upgrading and replacing components and control systems, continuously monitoring processes, and correcting malfunctions.
  • Completes work orders, records, logs, and other written or computer-based documents according to established procedures.
  • Supports plant operation quality and continuous improvement programs like Break Down Analysis and Break Down Deployments.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent and 1+ year's experience in maintenance or related field; or 3+ year's experience in maintenance or related field.
  • Professional certification in engineering, technology, or related field.
  • 1+ year's experience in maintenance or related field.
  • 2+ years’ experience PLC/Robot Programming.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, technology, or related field.
  • 3+ years' experience in maintenance or control automation.
