About the position

The Automotive Assembler/Tech position at GL Staffing Services involves the installation of electrical lighting systems and components in various commercial vehicles. The role requires adherence to industry standards and regulations to ensure all lighting systems are installed and functioning correctly.

Responsibilities

• Assist with vehicle breakdown including removing bumper skirt, fender, seats, interior trim, headlights, taillights, fog lights.
• Mount basic light heads onto the body of a vehicle.
• Assist with installation of basic components such as push bumper, vehicle partition cage, rear ABS seat, lock box, window bars, etc.
• Assist with re-assembly of vehicle components.
• Install interior light heads in front windshield and rear window of vehicles.
• Use crimper and stripper and butt splice connectors to make proper wiring connections.
• Understand 12 volts used in automotive applications.
• Distinguish between and properly program (set) flash patterns on strobing lights.
• Work around flashing, strobing, and steady burn warning lights.
• Lift up to 50 pounds, bend, push, pull, kneel to disassemble or assemble vehicle components.

Requirements

• Experience in automotive assembly or related field.
• Knowledge of electrical systems and components in vehicles.
• Ability to work with hand tools and electrical equipment.
• Understanding of automotive lighting systems and installation procedures.
