About the position

The Automotive Detailer Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the detailing operations at Music City Recon. This role involves setting performance goals, organizing workflow, and ensuring that employees understand their tasks. The supervisor will also monitor productivity, provide feedback, and maintain personnel records while ensuring compliance with company standards.

Responsibilities

  • Set goals for performance and deadlines in ways that comply with the company's plans and vision and communicate them to subordinates.
  • Organize workflow and ensure that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks.
  • Monitor employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching.
  • Maintain timekeeping and personnel records.
  • Pass on information from upper management to employees and vice versa.
  • Prepare and submit performance reports.
  • Hire and train new employees.
  • Use various types of cleaning equipment and solutions to detail vehicles according to dealership instructions.
  • Deep clean brushes, carpets, and upholstery.
  • Vacuum floors and seats, including the trunk.
  • Clean out ashtrays and cup holders.
  • Condition vinyl and leather surfaces.
  • Remove trash, debris, and dirt from the vehicle's interior.
  • Use special foams and detergents for specific types of microfibers.
  • Clean all glass on the vehicle, inside and out, with appropriate rags and cleaning solutions.
  • Clean mirrors with the proper substances.
  • Apply chemicals to surfaces to protect against spots and stains.
  • Use paints, waxes, and dyes to protect leather parts of the vehicle's interior.
  • Use hoses and pumps for washing and rinsing vehicles.
  • Dry floor mats and clean/polish wheel rims.
  • Clean headlights, brake lights, and taillights to enhance brightness.

Requirements

  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to communicate effectively across departments.
  • Strong ability to motivate team members.
  • Valid driving license is mandatory.
  • Must be detail-oriented.
  • Must be a good multi-tasker.
  • Should have ample knowledge of safety precautions.
