About the position

Piazza Honda of Springfield is seeking a full-time Parts Counter Person to join our Parts Department. This role is essential in ensuring that our customers receive the correct automotive parts for their vehicles in a timely and efficient manner. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer service and excellent communication skills, as they will be interacting with both customers and technicians on a daily basis. Experience with CDK is preferred, as it will facilitate smoother operations within our parts department. The Parts Counter Person will be responsible for various tasks including shipping, receiving, and wholesale part sales. They will assist customers in locating the appropriate parts for their vehicles and provide technicians with the correct parts needed for customer vehicles. Additionally, the Parts Counter Person will work closely with the parts manager to locate any parts that are not in stock and communicate with customers regarding the status of their orders, notifying them upon delivery to the dealership. This position requires a friendly and professional demeanor, as the Parts Counter Person will serve as a point of contact for both staff and customers. The ability to lift 50 pounds or more is necessary, and the candidate must be self-motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Other duties may be assigned as needed, and the schedule will typically be Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for shipping, receiving, and wholesale part sales.
  • Assisting customers in finding the appropriate parts for their vehicles.
  • Provide technicians with the correct parts for customer vehicles.
  • Work with parts manager to locate any parts not in stock.
  • Communicate with customers on the status of any parts ordered and notify them upon delivery to the dealership.
  • Serve as backup to stocking clerk as necessary.
  • Communicate with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
