About the position
The Automotive Parts Counterperson is responsible for providing customers with requested parts and accessories in a timely manner. This role involves not only identifying the correct items but also soliciting additional sales, managing inventory, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Responsibilities
- Provide requested parts and accessories to customers in a timely manner.
- Specify the correctly needed items for customers.
- Solicit additional sales to enhance revenue.
- Charge out merchandise using the Dealer Management System.
- Follow up on special orders to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Tag, store, and process warranty parts efficiently.
- Assist in conducting inventory cycle counts to maintain accurate stock levels.
- Keep the inventory area, parts counter, and retail displays clean and orderly.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1-3 years of experience in a similar role preferred.
- Ability to lift heavy parts, approximately 50 pounds.
