About the position
The Automotive Wash Bay Technician is responsible for cleaning and detailing vehicles to maintain high standards of service quality. This role involves using various cleaning tools and techniques to ensure vehicles are thoroughly cleaned and polished, while also inspecting them for any issues prior to delivery. The technician will work in a fast-paced environment, often as part of a team, and may be required to work weekends as needed.
Responsibilities
- Wash vehicles using pressure washers and automatic washers.
- Remove trash from the interior and clean upholstery, carpet, and other surfaces using cleaning agents and devices.
- Apply wax to auto body and buff surfaces to protect and preserve shine.
- Apply protective sealant and refurbish headlights.
- Inspect vehicles thoroughly for pre-delivery checks.
- Maintain the proper function of all service tools and equipment.
- Understand and deliver to the specific requirements of customers.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Willingness to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing needs and priorities.
- Positive attitude.
- Previous detailing experience preferred.
