About the position

The AV/VTC Operations Specialist at Toomey Technologies is responsible for ensuring seamless communication and collaboration across the enterprise by setting up, operating, and maintaining audio-visual (AV) equipment and video teleconferencing (VTC) systems. This role involves providing on-site support for agency events, coordinating all requirements for conferencing, and assisting presenters with technical needs to uphold the organization's standards of professionalism and technical excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and maintain AV equipment and VTC systems for meetings, conferences, and presentations.
  • Provide on-site support for agency events, ensuring high standards of professionalism and technical excellence.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the conferencing center and AV/VTC operations.
  • Schedule and coordinate all requirements in advance of events to prevent disruptions.
  • Facilitate and assist presenters with training and equipment requirements.
  • Configure conference room layouts and assist customers in integrating their presentations.
  • Set up auxiliary equipment such as flip charts, whiteboards, and teleconference phones.

Requirements

  • Active Secret Clearance required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in AV/VTC operations, preferably in government environments.
  • Strong knowledge of AV equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Experience with relevant software applications for AV/VTC management.
  • Strong technical support and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Relevant certifications such as CTS, CCNA, or CompTIA A+.
  • Understanding of AV/VTC industry trends and best practices.
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure and network systems.
