About the position

The Dispatcher/Flight Operations Coordinator at Flightworks Incorporated is responsible for ensuring the safety and efficiency of flight operations within a dynamic, 24/7 environment. This role involves coordinating services, managing crew assignments, and ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and company policies. The position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders to facilitate smooth flight operations.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety of all flight operations and coordinate services in accordance with FAA requirements and company manuals.
  • Verify that crewmembers are current and qualified for assigned flights, including compliance with flight and duty time limitations and medical requirements.
  • Take a proactive role in international trip planning and coordination, including communication with third-party handlers.
  • Make daily crew assignments as directed by the Lead Dispatcher and communicate those assignments to crew members.
  • Monitor and select preferred vendor services such as FBOs, fuelers, and hotels, maintaining a centralized database of vendor information.
  • Notify all bases and ground support staff of daily aircraft departures and arrivals.
  • Manage the internal Dispatch trip checklist and confirm completion of all items prior to flight execution.
  • Review weather, NOTAMs, and TFRs for scheduled airports in collaboration with the assigned PIC, making recommendations as necessary.
  • Communicate with crew members throughout all stages of a trip using various communication methods.

Requirements

  • Mid-level experience in aviation operations or a related field.
  • Associate's degree in Aviation or a related discipline.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a constantly changing environment.
  • Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • 4-year college degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience as a corporate aircraft dispatcher or in aviation operations.
  • Familiarity with Collins FOS software.
  • Knowledge of aviation and aircraft performance.
