About The Position

The ACM / Ceded Business Analyst role at Aspen Insurance is a senior position within the business analysis community, focusing on providing comprehensive business analysis to support change activities aligned with the EPMO Change Delivery Framework. Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business analysis and business change throughout the full project lifecycle.
  • Experience in the insurance industry, specifically with outward reinsurance (Ceded Reinsurance).
  • Knowledge of non-traditional reinsurance arrangements (insurance-linked securities, third-party capital).
  • Strong data knowledge and understanding of SOX compliance.
  • Experience with financial reporting and management information (MI).
  • Ability to work effectively at all management levels.
  • Strong influencing and facilitation skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with evolving targets and priorities.
  • Strong customer focus and high proficiency in addressing complex business challenges.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Elicit, identify, and capture business requirements (functional and non-functional).
  • Support project teams in maintaining focus on traceability of requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assist business stakeholders in identifying priorities and articulating underlying needs.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, EPMO Project Managers, and IT teams to support successful project outcomes.
  • Design, re-engineer, and map business processes.
  • Produce deliverables in accordance with Aspen's quality procedures.
  • Proactively manage workloads and competing priorities to address potential issues.
  • Comply with regulatory and statutory policies to meet obligations.
  • Drive and challenge business stakeholders on requirements to identify true underlying needs.
  • Serve as a liaison between business, IT, and support teams to enhance collaboration.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations through regular communication.
  • Develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Facilitate project meetings and requirements gathering workshops.
  • Document and prioritize business and technical requirements to ensure clarity.
  • Capture and document business processes to understand impacted areas and desired outcomes.
  • Critically evaluate information and solution designs to uncover dependencies and challenges.
  • Facilitate user acceptance testing and training, including preparation of test scripts.
  • Support change deliverables through the project lifecycle.
