About the position

NCR Atleos, headquartered in Atlanta, is a leader in expanding financial access. Our dedicated 20,000 employees optimize the branch, improve operational efficiency and maximize self-service availability for financial institutions and retailers across the globe. The position is for an AWS Cloud Network Security Engineer located in Frisco, TX (Hybrid), requiring in-office presence 3 days a week. Please note that this position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

Design, Engineer and manage AWS Cloud solutions.
Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot AWS Cloud systems to ensure optimal performance and security.
Plan and execute upgrades, patches, and other maintenance activities for cloud systems.
Design, Engineer and manage NGINX applications.
Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot NGINX applications to ensure optimal performance and security.
Plan and execute upgrades, patches, and other maintenance activities for NGINX systems.
Collaborate with the cybersecurity team to ensure robust security measures and compliance with industry standards.
Provide advanced technical support for AWS cloud networking issues.
Mentor and guide junior engineers and IT support staff.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud configurations, procedures, and processes.
Generate regular reports on system performance, security incidents, and maintenance activities.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
At least 3 years of hands-on experience with AWS, NGINX+ and NGINX App protect.
AWS-specific skills: VPC Subnetting and Routing, VPN, Route53, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, Lambda, VPC endpoints, ALBs, NLBs, GWLBs, CloudWatch, WAF, Shield Advanced, Global Accelerators, NFW, Private Link.
Strong understanding of both NGINX+ and NGINX App Protect.
Strong understanding of DDoS Mitigation Techniques.
Strong understanding of the following network technologies: BGP, IPSec, SSL/TLS offloading, mTLS, NAT/PAT, Proxy, Reverse Proxy, IDS/IPS, L3/L4 Firewalls, iCAP.
Experience and in-depth understanding of TCP/IP packets with ability to analyze captured packets for deep troubleshooting.

Nice-to-haves

Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
