About the position

Cognizant is seeking a Senior AWS ETL Informatica Developer to join their AI & Analytics team. This role involves developing and maintaining data infrastructure, ensuring seamless data integration and storage solutions using AWS Glue and Amazon S3. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 8 years of experience in ETL processes and will work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize data workflows and support data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain ETL processes using AWS Glue to ensure efficient data integration.
  • Design and implement data storage solutions using Amazon S3 to support various business needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver optimal solutions.
  • Optimize existing ETL pipelines to improve performance and reduce processing time.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior developers in the team.
  • Ensure data security and compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all developed processes and solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve our data infrastructure.
  • Work closely with data analysts and scientists to support their data needs and enhance data-driven decision-making.
  • Implement automation scripts using Python to streamline repetitive tasks and improve efficiency.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the company by delivering high-quality data solutions that drive business growth.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with Python programming.
  • Expertise in AWS Glue ETL for building and managing data pipelines.
  • Proficiency in using Amazon S3 for data storage and management.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex data issues.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
  • Experience with other AWS services such as Lambda, Redshift, and RDS is a plus.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and best practices is desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
  • Knowledge of data governance and data quality management practices is beneficial.
  • Certification in AWS Certified Developer or AWS Certified Solutions Architect is preferred.
