About the position

At Zip, we believe great content isn’t just about messaging—it’s about enabling merchants to make informed decisions. We’re looking for a B2B Marketing Specialist to develop merchant-centric positioning, content, and enablement materials that help merchants navigate the buying journey—from initial evaluation to long-term success. In this role, you’ll ensure our messaging speaks directly to merchant challenges and needs. You’ll collaborate closely with Sales, Product, Marketing, and Channel Partners to create high-impact content, training, and competitive insights that simplify decision-making, accelerate deal velocity, and support merchant adoption.

Responsibilities

  • Craft our messaging strategy for Zip’s BNPL solutions, ensuring a clear and differentiated message.
  • Develop persona-based messaging for sales, marketing, and partner teams.
  • Work closely with market research to refine segment-specific positioning based on industry trends, competitive insights, and customer feedback.
  • Develop compelling product pages, web content, demo videos, assessments, and toolkits that help merchants evaluate and adopt Zip.
  • Build a modular Master Pitch Deck, sell sheets, and training materials to help sales teams close more deals, faster.
  • Maintain and optimize logos, boilerplates, and sales enablement materials in partner portals.
  • Conduct market intelligence and competitive analysis to position Zip effectively against BNPL competitors.
  • Support Forrester, Gartner, and other analyst engagements to elevate Zip’s market presence.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to produce vertical-specific battlecards and competitive insights for the sales team.

Requirements

  • 5 years of B2B product marketing or content experience, ideally in fintech, payments, or SaaS.
  • Proven ability to write compelling stories for enterprise and mid-market audiences.
  • Hands-on experience creating high-impact enablement content (pitch decks, product pages, training materials).
  • Strong storytelling & communication skills—you know how to distill complex ideas into simple, persuasive narratives.
  • Deep knowledge of sales cycles and go-to-market strategies, with a focus on enterprise sales acceleration.
  • Experience with competitive research and analyst relations, including engagement with Forrester, Gartner, or other research firms.
  • Self-starter mindset—able to build programs from the ground up in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Benefits

  • Flexible working culture
  • Incentive programs
  • 20 days PTO every year
  • Generous paid parental leave
  • Leading family support policies
  • 100% employer covered insurance
  • Beautiful Union Square office with a casual dress code
  • Learning and wellness subscription stipend
  • Company-sponsored 401k match
