About the position

The B2B Portfolio Manager at Nuvei plays a crucial role in the rapidly evolving world of payment processing. This position is focused on supporting existing merchant accounts and processing volume by overseeing and performing inbound/outbound support for an assigned portfolio of customers. The primary responsibility is to manage accounts identified as being at risk, high value, or those requiring additional oversight and management as determined by the ERP sales channel. The B2B Portfolio Manager is solely responsible for maintaining the existing merchant base to drive growth, which is achieved through effective relationship management for strategic accounts. This includes developing new business opportunities and maintaining profitable business relationships, ultimately increasing revenue for the B2B division. In this role, the manager will lead solutioning efforts to maintain or increase volume retention across the B2B portfolio. This involves working closely with ERP channel leaders and partners to build and sustain a business plan that aligns with revenue objectives. The manager will handle high-volume and seasonal portfolios, negotiating with merchants on contract renewals, pricing changes, and the delivery of new services to strengthen the bond between Paya and the merchant. Additionally, the role requires providing frontline resolutions for escalated calls and inquiries, possessing sufficient knowledge of merchant business practices to offer consultative suggestions for improvements, and maintaining client retention through proper processing analysis and negotiation of rates and fees. The B2B Portfolio Manager will also develop and maintain a strategic plan to proactively engage with assigned customers and channel partners, resolve open issues, and escalate customer satisfaction issues as necessary. Utilizing customer relationship management tools, the manager will track and maintain accurate records of all activities and follow up on existing opportunities to increase close rates.
