Cake Niche is an artistic cake store located in Lexington, MA, specializing in the production and sale of cakes, cupcakes, pastries, and custom special occasion and wedding cakes. We are currently seeking a Bakery Associate who is passionate about cake decoration and motivated to grow in a rewarding career. This position offers a flexible schedule, making it ideal for individuals looking to balance work with other commitments. The Bakery Associate will play a crucial role in our operations, ensuring that our front display units are filled with daily retail cupcake and pastry items, and will be responsible for following recipes and utilizing kitchen equipment such as mixers and ovens. The ideal candidate will have experience in a commercial kitchen or food establishment, as this is highly desirable for the role. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and possess the ability to work effectively as part of a team, interacting positively with teammates. The role requires individuals who can perform tasks swiftly and adapt to a professional kitchen environment, which often necessitates a quick shift from one task to another. Additionally, candidates must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English, and have basic math skills. Physical capability to move and lift up to 50 lbs is also required, along with the ability to perform general cleaning tasks.
