About the position

The Bank Operations ACH Specialist at Regions is responsible for managing operational duties related to the electronic transfer of funds through the Automated Clearing House (ACH) Network. This role involves processing daily ACH files, resolving disputes, monitoring risk alerts, and ensuring compliance with NACHA guidelines. The specialist will also provide guidance to less experienced associates and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the department.

Responsibilities

• Manages the processing of daily ACH files including exceptions, distributions, origination, and returns according to NACHA guidelines.
• Works with internal and external parties to resolve various ACH disputes.
• Monitors and reviews risk alerts related to ACH transactions.
• Performs ACH reconcilements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Stays informed of NACHA rule revisions and banking regulations to maintain compliance in processes.
• Provides advice and guidance to less experienced associates to assist in skill development and promote continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Four (4) years of operations or related experience
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• General knowledge of banking procedures
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
• Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills
• Strong work ethic and self-motivation.

Nice-to-haves

• Banking experience preferred but not required
• Strong attention to detail preferred
• Data entry experience preferred.
