About the position
As a barista at Starbucks, you will create a welcoming and engaging experience for customers by providing excellent service and expertly crafted beverages. This role emphasizes teamwork, customer interaction, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace in a fast-paced environment. You will have the opportunity to learn and master various food and beverage recipes while connecting with customers and contributing to a positive store atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Create the Starbucks Experience for customers through excellent service and expertly-crafted products.
- Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide a pleasant communication experience.
- Prepare food and beverages according to standard recipes or customized for customers.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Handle cash and ensure store safety and security.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve store goals.
Requirements
- No previous experience required.
- Ability to maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
- Available to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
- Meet store operating policies and standards, including cash handling and safety protocols.
- Ability to learn quickly and understand oral and written instructions.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in customer service or food service environments.
- Knowledge of coffee and beverage preparation techniques.
