Requirements

• Minimum of two years of high-volume bartending experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of beer, liquor, wine, and cocktails is necessary.
• Ability to operate a POS system with accuracy.
• Excellent customer service skills and a guest-obsessed attitude.

• Knowledge of current beverage trends and house specialties.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by taking orders and preparing them efficiently.
• Build rapport with clientele and follow first-time guest procedures.
• Promptly address guest issues and refer to management when necessary.
• Operate the POS system accurately and follow cash handling policies.
• Handle card and cash transactions, ensuring all funds are accounted for by the end of the shift.
• Identify belligerent customers and work with management to maintain a safe environment.
• Clean the bar and surrounding area of spills and messes as needed.
• Follow daily checklists for opening, closing, and cleaning tasks.
• Participate in bar clean programs and adhere to sanitation and safety policies.
• Prepare bar areas for drinking/dining according to restaurant standards.
• Ensure bars are stocked with necessary supplies and alert management of low stock levels.
• Stay updated on current trends, house specialties, and menu items.
• Maintain bar/table settings and assist patrons as needed during their dining experience.
• Conclude dining/drinking experiences by inviting patrons to return and market yourself and your shift.
• Handle to-go orders and convey menu information over the phone to guests.
• Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently.
