About the position

The Behavior Consultant/Qualified Behavioral Health Professional (QBHP) at Gateway Pediatric Therapy is responsible for managing clinical cases and providing support to Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs). This role involves creating and implementing treatment programs based on client evaluations, maintaining clinical requirements, mentoring technicians, and ensuring compliance with ethical practices and organizational policies. The position emphasizes collaboration with families and stakeholders to enhance the therapeutic process for children on the autism spectrum.

Responsibilities

  • Create appropriate programming for clients based on evaluations and needs.
  • Maintain clinical requirements for client supervision as per insurance and organizational guidelines.
  • Lead and mentor technicians in treatment plan implementation.
  • Assist in case management and staff training through meetings with treatment staff.
  • Manage client services and treatment protocols independently.
  • Design and maintain high-quality treatment programs based on assessments.
  • Oversee accurate records, client notes, and reports for internal and external processes.
  • Engage parents in training for relevant treatment techniques.
  • Prepare for and attend client educational meetings, developing treatment recommendations.
  • Progress towards board certification as a Behavior Analyst as per state guidelines.
  • Attend required trainings and conferences to comply with policies and procedures.
  • Maintain client privacy in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Work cooperatively with internal staff and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain professionalism in all client and staff interactions.

Requirements

  • Experience in behavioral health or related field.
  • Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and practices.
  • Ability to conduct client assessments and develop treatment plans.
  • Strong organizational skills for maintaining client records and documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with clients and families.

Nice-to-haves

  • Board certification as a Behavior Analyst (or progress towards it).
  • Experience working with children on the autism spectrum.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and compliance.
