About the position

The Behavior Analyst at Northway Academy plays a crucial role in providing center-based Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) services to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and related disabilities. This position involves conducting assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and training team members to support clients effectively. The Behavior Analyst works under the guidance of a Clinical Supervisor and collaborates with a dedicated clinical team to enhance the quality of care and promote positive outcomes for individuals served.

Responsibilities

  • Observe, identify, analyze, and document a range of behavior problems in children.
  • Develop and implement strategies to address identified problem areas.
  • Create individualized treatment plans to increase functional skills for individuals served.
  • Train team members on the principles of behavior analysis and individual programming.
  • Conduct trainings for caregivers to teach necessary skills for their child's success.
  • Collaborate with team members to translate treatment plans into measurable steps and benchmarks.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a Master's program in Applied Behavior Analysis or a related mental health field.
  • Certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) preferred or documented fieldwork supervision towards certification.
  • At least 2,000 hours of supervised clinical experience or training in examining or treating individuals with ASD or related conditions.
  • Bachelor's degree in behavioral or child development science or related field with at least 1,000 hours of supervised clinical experience or training.
  • Certification as a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) preferred.
