About the position

The Benefits & Compensation Manager is responsible for the implementation, communication, and administration of competitive compensation and benefit programs at Bell and Evans. This role supports the annual compensation cycle, leads enhancements to the benefits package, and conducts in-depth analysis of compensation and benefits data. The manager collaborates with HR Business Partners and business leaders to provide consultative guidance on compensation matters, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain the market price tool and compensation management system, providing recommended enhancements.
  • Support the annual compensation planning process, focusing on systems and analytics from baseline analysis to payment execution.
  • Maintain job classifications in collaboration with the HRIS team to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and salary administration.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners and business leaders to analyze market competitiveness of pay and make recommendations for hires and promotions.
  • Assist in developing detailed job descriptions through thorough job evaluation.
  • Implement communication and training for compensation programs to promote understanding and transparency among stakeholders.
  • Manage benefit programs and policies, monitoring market competitiveness and recommending improvements.
  • Analyze insurance provider coverage and claims data, identifying trends and resolving issues.
  • Maintain the annual Retirement Committee meeting schedule and participate in discussions.
  • Analyze benefit utilization data and recommend adjustments to enhance the benefits package.
  • Oversee the administration of health and welfare benefits, 401(k), leaves of absence, and workers' compensation.
  • Lead the annual 5500 audits in partnership with Payroll and HRIS.
  • Contribute to the completion of accurate financial reports in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with laws and regulations related to employee benefits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 5+ years of compensation and benefits experience.
  • 5+ years of compliance-related experience.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) or similar preferred.
  • CBP (Certified Benefits Professional) or similar preferred.
