About the position

The Benefits & Compensation Manager at Newport Restaurant Group is responsible for overseeing all aspects of benefit and compensation plan administration. This role involves researching and recommending new benefit programs, managing annual benefit plan renewals, and ensuring effective communication regarding employee benefits. The position requires a detail-oriented individual who can work independently and prioritize tasks effectively under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Research & recommend new benefit programs, plan designs, and policies.
• Work with brokers to secure annual benefit plan renewals, including cost analysis and alternative plan design.
• Review and determine annual employee benefit eligibility, ensuring proper communication to employees, managers, and Payroll.
• Prepare monthly analysis of HRA statistics, Worker's Compensation, and other relevant KPIs.
• Prepare budget and reforecast data for all benefit programs.
• Direct and oversee the work of the HR Benefit and Leave Specialist.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university or ten to fifteen years of experience in benefits and compensation management.
• Two to five years of related experience and/or training.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly analytical with tremendous problem-solving abilities.
