About the position

The position at Omni Hotels and Resorts is a dynamic, hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing the organization's benefits and compensation programs. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements while implementing programs that attract, retain, and motivate top talent. Currently, the focus is predominantly on benefits, with the compensation aspect expected to expand over time. The successful candidate will manage a small but effective team of benefit professionals, ensuring that the organization maintains its exemplary culture and commitment to career development. In this role, the leader will oversee the implementation, communication, and administration of various employee benefit programs, including self-insured and fully insured health plans, leave of absence policies, retirement plans, and global mobility initiatives. They will develop and deliver effective communication materials on compensation and benefits to Property HR Teams and provide training on benefits options and resources to HR teams across the organization. The position also involves coordinating open enrollment, communicating changes, and assisting employees with benefit-related inquiries. Additionally, the leader will manage audits for all employee benefit plans, build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, and conduct market research and benchmarking to ensure competitive compensation strategies. Analyzing salary survey data and industry trends to set salary structures and pay grades is also a key responsibility, along with supporting the annual compensation review process. The role includes mentoring and coaching two team members to boost performance, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement, and preparing regular reports and ad-hoc analyses for HR and business leaders. Ensuring compliance with labor laws, regulations, and best market practices in compensation and benefits is essential, as is organizing wellness events, including health fairs.
