We have an opportunity for a Benefits Coordinator to join our Golden Valley, MN team. You will perform daily leave administrative activities and prepare billing and funding information for payment of claims and plan expenses.

Responsibilities

  • Administer all aspects of employee leave programs, coordination of majority of administrative aspects of cases and claims.
  • Communicate leave of absence approvals, denials, return to work and other essential information to employees, managers, and human resources contacts.
  • Provide guidance to employees as it relates to leaves of absence.
  • Maintain complete and accurate records of leave of absence requests in accordance with appropriate requirements and ensure that required documentation is gathered and tracked in accordance with all leave of absence process steps, while preserving confidentiality of documentation and files.
  • Act as liaison with applicable third-party administrators.
  • Develop and generate tracking reports to identify and analyze leave data and trends.
  • Identify process improvements to ensure the administration of leave program is managed in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Work closely with team members in payroll and the employee service center as needed throughout the leave of absence.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree required; bachelor's degree preferred
  • 1 - 3 years of experience in benefits or a related field within increasing level of responsibility.
  • Knowledge of benefit plan administration and compliance requirements
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships with HR Business Partners, cross-functional teams and external vendors.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
