Under general supervision, the Benefits Coordinator is responsible for verification and/or obtaining all information required to ensure payment for services provided in the clinic setting for procedures. This includes, but is not limited to, verification of accurate insurance information, verifying eligibility, benefits, and obtaining authorizations. The coordinator acts as a financial resource for all clinic issues, assists in the collection of co-pays and any balances due, and provides financial counseling. This position also completes demographic information and referral requests, verifies eligibility, and supports the clinical staff for any financial issues or questions. The role is crucial in ensuring that all financial aspects of patient care are handled efficiently and accurately, contributing to the overall success of the clinic operations.
