About the position

The Benefits Coordinator is responsible for managing employee benefits programs and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. This role involves collaboration with various departments to effectively administer benefits, support employee relations, and maintain accurate records. The ideal candidate will have strong data analysis skills and a comprehensive understanding of benefits administration, including knowledge of HIPAA regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding benefits inquiries and issues.
  • Conduct data analysis to assess the effectiveness of benefits programs and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other relevant regulations in handling employee information.
  • Collaborate with payroll departments to ensure accurate processing of benefits deductions.
  • Manage benefits enrollments, terminations, beneficiary changes, and Qualified Medical Child Support Orders (QMCSO).
  • Assist in the evaluation of employee performance related to benefits utilization and satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate records in HRIS systems.
  • Prepare reports on benefits usage and trends for management review.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of proven experience in employee relations and benefits administration.
  • Strong data analysis skills to interpret complex information and make informed decisions.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Fluency in Spanish is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in HR software is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with employees at all levels.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
