About the position

We are looking for a meticulous Benefits Coordinator to join our team in the construction industry, based in Towson, Maryland. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in administering employee benefits programs, providing guidance on benefits-related inquiries, and ensuring effective implementation in line with company policies. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity. As a Benefits Coordinator, you will be responsible for administering comprehensive employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life, disability insurance, retirement plans, 401k flexible spending accounts, and wellness programs. You will coordinate benefits enrollment for new hires, ensuring accurate and timely processing of enrollments, changes, and terminations. Additionally, you will serve as the primary point of contact for employees for benefits-related inquiries, assisting in resolving issues or concerns. You will collaborate with insurance brokers, benefit providers, and other vendors to manage relationships and ensure efficient delivery of services. Maintaining accurate records of employee participation in benefits plans is essential, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. You will assist with annual benefits renewal processes, open enrollment periods, and communication of changes to employees. Furthermore, you will provide support during onboarding and offboarding processes and assist in compensation management. Your role will require the use of skills such as ADP - Financial Services, ADP Workforce Now, Benefit Functions, Claim Administration, Cobra Administration, and effective communication to perform tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Administer comprehensive employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life, disability insurance, retirement plans, 401k flexible spending accounts, and wellness programs.
  • Coordinate benefits enrollment for new hires, ensuring accurate and timely processing of enrollments, changes, and terminations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees for benefits-related inquiries, assisting in resolving issues or concerns.
  • Collaborate with insurance brokers, benefit providers, and other vendors to manage relationships and ensure efficient delivery of services.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in ADP - Financial Services software
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now
  • Knowledge and understanding of Benefit Functions
  • Experience in Claim Administration
  • Familiarity with Cobra Administration
  • Excellent Communication skills
  • Background in a construction/contractor industry is preferred
  • Ability to work in a team and coordinate with various departments
  • Must have strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Knowledge of standard office equipment and software
  • Ability to interpret and apply benefits policies and procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
