About the position

The Benefits EDI Coordinator at Paycom Payroll LLC is a pivotal role responsible for establishing and managing file feeds for Paycom's benefits clients. These file feeds serve as the essential connection between insurance carriers and client employees' information, ensuring that data is accurately transmitted and maintained. The coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting clients during the setup of these file feeds, addressing any questions or concerns that may arise throughout the process. This position requires a blend of technical skills, customer service acumen, and a strong understanding of benefits administration. In this role, the Benefits EDI Coordinator will be tasked with building file feeds related to new implementations or changes from carriers. Continuous testing of these file feeds is essential to ensure their accuracy and functionality. The coordinator will act as the primary contact for clients, carriers, and internal teams, facilitating communication and ensuring that all requirements for file feeds are met. Additionally, the coordinator will be responsible for researching and troubleshooting any issues that arise during the implementation of these files, providing timely updates to customers regarding the status of their requests. The Benefits EDI Coordinator will also assist with the Open Enrollment process for all existing clients and may be called upon to support special projects as needed. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and professionalism in all client interactions. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Build file feeds related to new implementations or carrier changes
  • Continually test file feeds to ensure accuracy and functionality
  • Serve as the primary contact for clients, carriers and internal parties on requirements of file feeds
  • Serve as primary research and troubleshooting source for files in implementation
  • Communicate with customer on status of file
  • Work with development in establishing and mapping custom files
  • Research, track, and resolve customers' benefits issues
  • Assist with Open Enrollment process for all existing clients
  • Assist with special projects as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience working with customers and/or computer systems
  • Experience working with benefit plans or insurance carriers
  • Experience working in a client facing role
  • Experience utilizing MS Excel for imports and exports of data
  • Ability to perform moderately complex tasks, such as working with large data sets, pivot tables and completing formulas
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Technically savvy with the ability to navigate through computer systems easily
  • Professional communication skills through phone, email, and in person
  • Strong listening skills and ability to guide clients through complicated tasks
  • Ability to work within a team to initiate solutions and assist team members
  • Self-motivated to complete assigned tasks and projects on time
  • Strong attention to detail
