About the position

The Benefits Lead at Accenture is responsible for developing and managing health and welfare plans, retirement plans, and various wellbeing programs for the US and Canada. This senior-level position involves leading the US Benefits Committee, overseeing the implementation and administration of benefits plans, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The role requires effective leadership of a team of over 20 benefits professionals and collaboration with various stakeholders to align benefits programs with organizational objectives and market standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage health and welfare plans, retirement plans, and wellbeing programs for the US and Canada.
  • Lead the US Benefits Committee in the annual review of plans and make recommendations for changes.
  • Oversee the implementation and administration of plans by Benefits staff, third-party administrators, and insurance companies.
  • Ensure benefit programs support the organization's strategic objectives and meet participants' needs.
  • Lead and develop a team of 20+ Benefits professionals working virtually in the US, Canada, and Argentina.
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert for Accenture and its affiliates, providing resources for key HR members and leadership.
  • Maintain balance between program effectiveness and employee satisfaction.
  • Define and oversee implementation of recommended plan or process improvements.
  • Act as authorized fiduciary signatory for plans and trusts.
  • Ensure data privacy and security protocols are met and continuously reviewed against evolving requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in employee benefits
  • Minimum of 3 years of leading a North America benefits team
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to mentor, coach, and develop team members
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and integrity
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the capacity to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
