About the position

The Business Intelligence Analyst role at Maverik focuses on transforming data into actionable insights to enhance business performance. The analyst will build and maintain analytics tools, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and collaborate with various stakeholders to develop impactful reporting solutions. This position requires a strong understanding of SQL and the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain analytics assets to evaluate business performance, identify trends, and track KPIs
• Engage with the data team and other technical experts to understand complex data sets
• Partner with stakeholders to understand issues and develop reporting solutions
• Develop, administer, and maintain the Looker platform
• Automate complex calculations and processes
• Take on additional responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred (Information systems, Computer Science, etc.)
• Experience writing SQL
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including strong listening skills
• Ability to operate independently without the need for continuous oversight or direction
• History of taking the initiative to identify and solve work-related problems
• Proven ability to effectively prioritize and balance competing needs
