About the position

Strongbridge is seeking a talented BI and Analytics Professional to support the Department of Transportation in ensuring safety on the nation's railways. This role involves working with a team of data engineers on an enterprise-level business intelligence system, focusing on data modeling, analysis, and the development of analytical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Create data models and work with stakeholders to assess their analytical needs and provide analytical solutions.
• Collect and analyze raw data and prepare it to move up the medallion architecture.
• Progressively improve data quality and refinement.
• Interpret trends in the data sets.
• Use Azure Synapse Analytics as an enterprise analytics service.
• Utilize SQL and Python to create data pipelines and ETL processes using Azure tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years experience as a data analyst.
• 3+ years experience in data modeling and pipelining tools.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with other programming languages such as Python.
• Experience with ETL tools and processes.
• Experience in Azure Cloud using Azure Data Lake Services, Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, SQL Managed Instance.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Azure AI Studio.
• Experience utilizing Databricks.
• Experience with Collibra.
• Experience with Power BI or Tableau.
