About The Position

The Big Data Developer position at Motion Recruitment Partners offers an opportunity to work with a leading global bank in Jersey City, NJ. Requirements

• 10+ years of overall IT experience.
• 5+ years of strong development experience with Spark, Java/Scala, and Hive.
• Technical skills in Hadoop, Java/Scala, and Spark.
• Good SQL knowledge on Hive/Impala.
• Basic understanding of data warehousing concepts.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Hadoop stack, HDFS, Yarn, and Zookeeper interactions.
• Familiarity with Kafka and Elastic.

Responsibilities

• Develop and troubleshoot applications using Spark, Java/Scala, and Hive.
• Build Java/Scala, Spark based applications.
• Utilize SQL knowledge on Hive/Impala for data management.
• Implement basic data warehousing concepts like SCD2.
