About the position
The Bilingual Member Relations Consultant is responsible for delivering an outstanding phone experience to members of Granite Credit Union. This role involves handling member inquiries with promptness and courtesy, acting as a liaison between members and various departments to ensure quick resolutions to questions and problems related to accounts, payments, products, and services. The consultant also resolves credit and debit card issues and strengthens member relationships through cross-selling additional products and services.
Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding member phone experience by handling calls promptly and courteously.
- Act as a liaison between members and other departments to ensure quick resolutions to inquiries.
- Resolve credit and debit card issues for members and update appropriate systems.
- Act as a resource for other employees to help meet member needs.
- Cross-sell additional products and services to strengthen member relationships.
- Perform basic maintenance functions on accounts and maintain accurate records and reports.
- Provide general information to members on accounts, orders, payments, products, and services.
- Communicate with other departments to ensure prompt resolution of member inquiries.
- Attend meetings as required.
Requirements
- At least one year of customer service experience.
- Six months to one year of financial institution experience.
- Excellent communication and public relations skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Basic computer operating skills such as email and Microsoft Office.
