About the position

Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center - Opening in 2025! When open in early 2025, Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center GW Health will be the first new full-service hospital in Washington, DC in more than 20 years! This teaching hospital will integrate clinical care with existing providers, The George Washington University Hospital, and the Urgent Care Center in Ward 8. This clinical integration will establish a robust system of care for all District residents, but more importantly, it will ensure residents of Wards 7 and 8 have access to high quality care in their community. This full-service hospital will include 136 beds (with the ability to expand to 184 beds), a verified trauma center, adult and pediatric emergency departments, maternal health and delivery, an ambulatory pavilion for physician offices, clinics, a community space, a 500-car garage and a helipad for emergency transports.

Responsibilities

  • Perform evaluations, repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance on devices used in the care and treatment of patients.
  • Perform preventive maintenance (PM) or operational verification procedure (OVP) on 75% of the device types in inventory.
  • Repair 75% of the device types in inventory unassisted.
  • Deliver exceptional service to all customers that meets or exceeds all regulatory requirements and compliance.
  • Assist in developing and strengthening facility and vendor relationships.
  • Meet all established key performance indicator (KPI) requirements.

Requirements

  • Technical School/2 Years College / Associate's Degree, Military.
  • Bachelor's Degree - preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience.
  • 5-8 years of experience - preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Very experienced with healthcare technology management programs.
  • Medical equipment knowledge (manufacturers, models, modalities, device types, capital planning).
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements of medical devices (CMS, TJC, CLIA, AABB, NRC, State, Local).
  • Professional Certification preferred (CBET, CRES, CLES, CABT, CHTM, PMP, AWS-CSAA, CISSP, CAN, MLT, CRCST) and/or other professional certifications as deemed pertinent by the hiring director.
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft products), very experienced with computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) products.
  • Local travel will be required periodically.
