About the position

This role can be based in New York, Chicago, Minneapolis, San Antonio, or Dallas. The position involves conducting on-site clinical evaluations for new and existing customers to demonstrate the use of products and services to increase the frequency and quality of Digital OR product usage. The candidate will provide on-site consulting, guidance, and assistance to physicians and OR personnel by evaluating options and problem-solving during surgery to maximize Digital OR efficiency and usage. Responsibilities also include leading installations and establishing functionality at new and existing customer sites, educating and training physicians and hospital personnel on the use of Digital OR products and services, and utilizing engineering expertise to contribute to the quality improvement process by recommending product modifications. The role requires acting as the primary customer liaison, maintaining site visits and regular contact with customers, assessing satisfaction and usage levels, and working to increase revenue via the sale of service contracts, spare/wear parts, upgrades, etc. Additionally, the candidate will regularly strategize with the Account Manager in their region, resolve product issues, keep abreast of new developments regarding Brainlab and competitive Digital OR products and services, attend Digital OR Continuing Education annually, promote Digital OR products and services to surgeons at trade shows, maximize customer satisfaction, report and document complaints, and perform other duties as required. The position requires travel of 50% or more.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct on-site clinical evaluations for new and existing customers to demonstrate the use of products and services.
  • Provide on-site consulting, guidance, and assistance to physicians and OR personnel during surgery.
  • Lead installations and establish functionality at customer sites.
  • Educate/train physicians and hospital personnel on Digital OR products and services.
  • Utilize engineering expertise to recommend product modifications for quality improvement.
  • Act as primary customer liaison, maintaining site visits and regular contact with customers.
  • Assess customer satisfaction and usage levels, working to increase revenue.
  • Regularly strategize with the Account Manager, evaluating customer situations and identifying sales leads.
  • Resolve product issues through detailed analysis and engineering expertise.
  • Keep abreast of new developments regarding Brainlab and competitive products.
  • Attend Digital OR Continuing Education and maintain product certification competency.
  • Promote Digital OR products and services to surgeons at trade shows.
  • Maximize customer satisfaction.
  • Report and document complaints per Complaint Handling SOP.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Biomedical Engineering, Biomechanical Engineering, Bioengineering, Clinical Engineering, Nursing or equivalent experience.
  • 1-3 years minimum of experience in a technical support role for a healthcare company or provider preferred.
  • Knowledge of surgical procedures, anatomy and medical terminology preferred.
  • Proficient in the use of PC software applications including Microsoft Office.
  • Self-motivated, detail oriented and a proven history of ability to make independent decisions.
