About the position

The position involves providing on-site consulting and support to physicians and operating room personnel, focusing on maximizing the efficiency and usage of Image Guided Surgery (IGS) products. The role includes analyzing and resolving product issues, educating hospital staff, and acting as a primary liaison with customers to enhance satisfaction and revenue. Additionally, the position requires collaboration with various stakeholders and participation in training and promotional activities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site consulting, guidance, and assistance to physicians and OR personnel during surgery.
  • Analyze, resolve, and repair product issues using engineering expertise.
  • Direct and assist Radiology staff in performing necessary scans prior to surgery.
  • Educate and train physicians and hospital personnel on the use of IGS products and services.
  • Develop and conduct training programs for hospital staff.
  • Act as the primary customer liaison, assessing satisfaction and usage levels.
  • Work closely with the Senior Application Consultant and other managers on market transparency and upgrade initiatives.
  • Utilize engineering expertise to recommend product modifications for quality improvement.
  • Attend meetings and trade shows to demonstrate and promote IGS products and services.
  • Keep abreast of developments regarding Brainlab and competitive IGS products.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Biomedical Engineering, Biomechanical Engineering, Bioengineering, Clinical Engineering, Nursing, or graduate of an approved school for Radiologic Technology.
  • Licensed for Wisconsin in Radiologic technology or ability to obtain Wisconsin radiographer license.
  • ARRT registered in Radiography required.
  • Hold advanced certification/registration in CT preferred.
  • 1-3 years minimum experience in a technical support role preferably for a healthcare company or provider.
  • 1-2 years minimum sales experience with a healthcare company preferred.
  • Knowledge of surgical procedures, anatomy, and medical terminology preferred.
  • Proficient in the use of PC software applications including Microsoft Office.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and a proven history of making independent decisions.

Nice-to-haves
