About the position

As a Project Manager at Brainlab, you will be responsible for managing Radiotherapy installation projects from initiation through to closing. This role requires you to ensure that projects are delivered on schedule and within budget while meeting the agreed-upon requirements and specifications. You will manage the production of project estimates, develop project plans and schedules, and establish measures and milestones to track ongoing progress. Proactively managing risks, issues, and scope throughout the project lifecycle is essential, as is reporting project status and revenue projections regularly. You will also address project issues as they arise, communicating effectively with project sponsors and stakeholders. In this position, you will apply formal company-approved project management methodologies to achieve project goals. Mentoring and training regional support team members will be part of your responsibilities, as well as coordinating work with other project teams. You will ensure that assigned project team members are integrated and that time and resources are used efficiently to meet project requirements. Compliance with regulations such as ISO 13485, 93/42/EEC, FDA 21 CFR 820, and 510(k) submission guidelines is crucial for the project work you oversee. This role demands a high level of collaboration with various stakeholders, including sales personnel, R&D teams, engineers, technical specialists, contractors, architects, and customers. You will need to coordinate multiple assignments simultaneously while maintaining comprehensive written and verbal communication skills. Attention to detail and the ability to work independently are vital, along with a solid understanding of surgical procedures, anatomy, and medical terminology. Familiarity with the Radiotherapy market and current research and development areas will be beneficial. The position requires a self-motivated individual with strong business acumen and the flexibility to adapt to the fast-paced challenges of the industry.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Radiotherapy installation projects from project initiation to project closing.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget while meeting agreed-upon requirements and specifications.
  • Manage the production of project estimates and develop project plans and schedules.
  • Establish measures and milestones, track ongoing progress, and proactively manage risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Report project status and revenue projections on a regular basis and address project issues as they arise.
  • Apply formal company-approved project management methodology to accomplish project goals.
  • Provide mentoring and training to regional support team members.
  • Coordinate work with other project teams and ensure timely activity from assigned project team members.
  • Ensure project work complies with regulations of ISO 13485, 93/42/EEC, FDA 21 CFR 820, and 510(k) submission guidelines.

Requirements

  • Degree in science, medicine, business, or engineering preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years working experience within the medical device/Radiotherapy industry.
  • Ability to work effectively with sales people, R&D, engineers, technical specialists, contractors, architects, and customers.
  • Capable of coordinating multiple assignments simultaneously and effectively.
  • Comprehensive written and verbal communication, interpersonal, presentation, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to concentrate on detail and work independently.
  • Knowledge of surgical procedures, anatomy, and medical terminology preferred.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and a proven history of making independent decisions.
  • Knowledge of the Radiotherapy market, customers, and current research and development areas.
  • Strong business acumen and personal confidence.
