The Center for Biostatistics in AIDS Research (CBAR) at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health is seeking a Master's level Biostatistician I to join its team. This position is part of the Pediatric HIV/AIDS Cohort Study (PHACS), a NIH-funded network of observational cohort studies established to investigate critical pediatric HIV research questions. The focus of this role will be on evaluating oral health outcomes in youth and young adults with perinatal HIV infection or HIV exposure, including the examination of potential oral health biomarkers. The successful candidate will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of medical researchers, senior statisticians, epidemiologists, social scientists, and community advisory board members on new research initiatives within PHACS. The Biostatistician I will be responsible for statistical programming, data analysis, report writing, and providing input on study design. This role offers opportunities to apply novel causal inference approaches to research questions using longitudinal observational data. Responsibilities also include drafting analysis plans for study concepts, designing and reviewing forms and questionnaires, and co-authoring peer-reviewed manuscripts under the mentorship of senior staff. The position is located within a hybrid work environment, allowing for a combination of on-campus and remote work, and is suitable for a new graduate with a Master's degree in biostatistics, epidemiology, or a related field. CBAR has a long-standing history of providing statistical leadership and support for clinical research networks, contributing to the treatment and prevention of HIV and other infectious diseases. The position offers a defined career path and opportunities for continuing education and attendance at professional meetings, making it an excellent opportunity for professional growth and development in the field of biostatistics.
