Bobcat Field Technician

About the position

Atlas Bobcat is seeking full-time Field Technicians to provide exceptional service for heavy-duty, compact equipment in the Chicagoland area. The role involves troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues, performing preventative maintenance, and maintaining effective communication with the Service Manager and customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and a passion for working with vehicles and heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Identifying, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems on equipment using Bobcat technical software.
• Performing preventative maintenance per manufacturer specifications.
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of all products Atlas Bobcat sells and services.
• Keeping the Service Manager informed of all problems and potential problems involving service repairs.
• Maintaining inventory of necessary and customary technician tools in good working order.
• Completing all service repair assignments in a reasonable time.
• Maintaining your service truck and following all safety rules, policies, and procedures.
• Providing exceptional customer service skills while communicating with customers.

Requirements

• A valid driver's license.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and experience (experience with hydraulics, electrical or drive systems is preferred but not mandatory).
• 2+ years of experience with troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment in industrial or automotive industries.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A willingness to learn and be trained.
• The ability to manage time and attendance.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and willing to work in all weather conditions, and overtime as needed.
