About the position

The Boulder Lead Kitchen Worker/Dishwasher at Arizona Charlie's Boulder in Las Vegas, NV is responsible for leading assigned employees in the successful completion of tasks, projects, and job duties. This role involves monitoring and maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas to ensure they are properly cleaned and maintained. The position requires assisting with training and developing department staff, providing direction to assigned staff, and acting as a liaison between line staff and departmental leadership. The Lead Kitchen Worker must maintain a positive working relationship with the Health Department and adhere to all safety and sanitation regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with training and developing department staff, as assigned
• Provide direction to assigned staff and oversee projects assigned to staff
• Act as a liaison between line staff and departmental leadership
• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas
• Use correct chemicals for cleaning and sanitizing surfaces according to OSHA regulations
• Operate and maintain various kitchen machines and equipment
• Assist with preventative maintenance procedures
• Ensure staff has necessary tools to perform job duties
• Transport garbage containers and debris from kitchen to dumpsters
• Provide outstanding customer service to guests and fellow employees
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• 1 year of previous experience leading employees in food & beverage sanitation
• Working knowledge of kitchen equipment and sanitation guidelines
• Ability to effectively communicate and lead in small groups and individually
• At least 18 years of age
• Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal
• Able to obtain ServSafe certifications within 6 months of employment
• Bi-lingual preferred
• Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company
• Verify right to work in the United States
