About the position

As a Branding and Visual Communications Specialist at ICF, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the visual identity and branding strategies for a large-scale federal government client. This position requires a creative and strategic thinker who can conceptualize and lead innovative campaigns, marketing initiatives, and promotional activities that resonate with diverse audiences. You will be responsible for developing, managing, and aligning branding and design guidelines, ensuring that all graphic design products and multimedia templates adhere to these standards. Your expertise in graphic design will be essential as you provide support for a variety of communications products, including social media posts, websites, infographics, blogs, factsheets, newsletters, toolkits, data visualizations, briefings, and conference exhibits. In this role, you will collaborate closely with a team of creatives, communicators, and strategists to deliver high-quality visual content that effectively communicates the client's message. You will also be expected to attend on-site meetings in Washington, D.C. as requested, which will provide you with the opportunity to engage directly with clients and stakeholders. Your ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of attention to detail will be crucial for success in this position. Additionally, you will be expected to receive constructive feedback and creative guidance, demonstrating your adaptability and commitment to continuous improvement in your work.

Responsibilities

  • Spearhead branding and visual communications for a large-scale federal government client.
  • Conceptualize and lead campaigns, marketing, and promotions.
  • Develop, manage, and align branding and design guidelines, graphic design products, and multimedia templates.
  • Provide graphic design, multimedia, and illustration support for a variety of communications products, including social media posts, websites, infographics, blogs, factsheets, newsletters, toolkits, data visualizations, briefings, and conference exhibits.
  • Support other visual communications tasks, as needed.
  • Attend on-site meetings in Washington, D.C. as requested.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years' experience in brand management, marketing, and promotion and graphic design.
  • Proficient in brand design, illustration, graphic design for social media and websites, and building dynamic and static infographics.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite software, including Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.
  • Basic understanding of Adobe After Effects and Premiere.
  • A portfolio that showcases graphic design, branding, and visual communications capabilities.
  • Able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance (federal government background check).
