First Hawaiian Bank is currently seeking a BSD Fraud Analyst to join our Business Services Division. In this role, you will monitor and analyze data across multiple Business Services systems to detect and investigate fraudulent activity, ensuring timely intervention to mitigate bank and customer risk and loss. This role will include the evaluation, confirmation and investigation of potential fraud situations which requires the ability to communicate with bankers and/or customers as well as conduct research on various applications/systems. You will utilize observed and objective data to identify fraud and risk patterns to proactively identify, recommend and implement risk mitigation strategies. You will also coordinate between divisions to ensure a comprehensive and effective strategy is implemented by working with the Business Services Fraud Risk Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze data across multiple Business Services systems to detect and investigate fraudulent activity.
  • Evaluate, confirm, and investigate potential fraud situations.
  • Communicate with bankers and/or customers regarding fraud investigations.
  • Conduct research on various applications/systems.
  • Utilize observed and objective data to identify fraud and risk patterns.
  • Proactively identify, recommend, and implement risk mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate between divisions to ensure a comprehensive and effective strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, accounting, finance, related field, or equivalent experience.
  • CAMS, CAFP, or other fraud, BSA/AML, or compliance certification or equivalent.
  • Three years of experience in fraud investigations, risk management, help desk, business analysis, or related fields.
  • Experience with different fraud types and working with fraud detection scenarios, principles, and best practices.
  • Intermediate and some advanced knowledge of data analysis tools, data visualization, and developing analysis queries and procedures in SQL, SAS, BI tools or other analysis software.
