About the position
The Budtender position at our dispensary in San Fernando Valley, CA, is a full-time role focused on providing exceptional customer service and product knowledge in the cannabis industry. The ideal candidate will have prior dispensary experience and a passion for cannabis, ensuring that every customer receives a professional and knowledgeable experience. This role involves engaging with customers, managing sales transactions, and maintaining the store's appearance while contributing to the ongoing growth of the dispensary.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional, positive attitude on the sales floor.
- Greet and acknowledge customers, vendors, and guests as they enter and leave the store.
- Demonstrate strong product knowledge and sales skills.
- Identify customer needs and provide them with product options and price points.
- Educate customers on product features, benefits, pricing, and promotional deals.
- Follow all store procedures, protocols, and rules.
- Cashier transactions with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ensure correct cash handling and drawer reconciliation.
- Meet sales quotas and department goals.
- Maintain the appearance of the retail sales floor, including merchandising and restocking inventory.
- Notify inventory department of any product discrepancies and communicate necessary transfers to restock the floor.
- Assist with curbside pick-up order transactions.
- Continue cannabis education and keep up-to-date product knowledge.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- 2-3 years' experience in a related or similar industry.
- Proficiency in technology software and desktop electronics, including MS Office.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive team player who works well with others.
- Reliable transportation.
- Knowledgeable and passionate about the Cannabis Industry (preferred).
