About The Position

The East Hanover Township Schools is seeking a Bus Aide to assist the bus driver in providing safe transportation of students. This position is essential for maintaining a safe and orderly environment on the bus, ensuring that all students are properly cared for during their commute.

Requirements

• High School Diploma.
• DOE required criminal history background check.
• Proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.

Responsibilities

• Assist the bus driver in maintaining student conduct on the bus.
• Assist young or disabled students in getting on and off the bus.
• Provide written records of violations of student conduct code to the building principal.
• Collect personal items left on the bus and deliver them to the school secretary.
• Provide instruction to students regarding passenger safety and ensure that students wear their seat belts when the bus is so equipped.
• Participate in scheduled emergency bus exit drills.
