About the position

The IT Business Analysis Professional will support Devon's Accounting organization, focusing primarily on the SAP Financial Accounting module and secondary support for financial consolidation and reporting tools like Essbase and OneStream. This role involves gathering specifications, performing analysis, resolving issues, and coordinating the implementation of solutions, while also providing hands-on support within SAP and related accounting systems.

Responsibilities

• Interact with Accounting business partners to conduct needs assessments and gather systems requirements.
• Identify application solutions and determine integration strategies with Accounting business partners.
• Act as an expert business and technical resource to the SAP application support team throughout implementation and support processes.
• Ensure that implemented solutions satisfy business requirements and are delivered in a timely manner by interfacing with Accounting business users.
• Serve as a liaison between the IT department, Accounting departments, and external vendors.
• Contribute to ongoing application support within the SAP development team.
• Align and coordinate with other IT departments to define standard tools.
• Lead process development and redevelopment sessions.
• Create project documentation and adhere to Devon Project Management Methodology.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Management Information Systems, Accounting, Computer Science or related field required.
• Minimum of 5 years of SAP Financial Accounting module support or related SAP Accounting experience preferred.
• Experience in Corporate Accounting and/or Fixed Asset Accounting preferred.
• SAP experience required.
• Oil and gas industry experience required.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in Essbase administration, SQL queries, budget/forecasting, consolidations, and/or intercompany eliminations preferred.
• Advanced level computer skills.
